It was indeed a fine pastime to admire the Aeldari's progress in war. The War in Heaven had spread too widely; even though the Silent King had never rested, there were still vast numbers of battlefield reports he was reading for the first time.
The Battle of the Ke'eruike Black Hole—the Aeldari's war ark fleet had been controlled by an Enslaver.
The Xiya Graveyard Zone—three million Revenant Titans had been crushed by the C'tan known as the Pressure, their souls sucked completely dry.
The Verdant Paradise World Cluster—95% of the Aeldari population had been concentrated in this region. After tasting Aeldari souls, the Pressure had brought his friends to dine, and they had a less than friendly exchange with the Old Ones.
That was the first time the Aeldari had stood on the brink of extinction. Afterward, those flamboyant peacocks learned to fear the War in Heaven.
They later came close to extinction several more times, but by then they had grown considerably stronger. They could effectively coordinate with Ork legions to launch attacks against the Necrontyr, and certain leaders with exceptional psychic gifts could even briefly contend with the C'tan's power to warp the physical world.
The towering Pantheon stood in the distance. The Silent King withdrew his consciousness from the war reports and gazed at its elaborate gates. Within were the Warp aggregates the Aeldari revered as gods.
When the souls of a race gathered together, they became gods... Then what would Necrontyr souls become when they converged?
The Silent King did not know. His people, a race bereft of souls, had no way to verify the theory. They could only watch the dead souls of other races condense into huge masses of warped forms within the Warp.
The Pantheon opened its gates to the Silent King. Asuryan
