The Frostheart strike cruiser was the warship assigned to Kaiser Whitefang. Beside it were Kor'sarro Khan's Swift Wind strike cruiser and a Lunar-class cruiser from the Funerary Order.

As a mobile force tasked with dealing with the plague zombies in the rear, this fleet was more than sufficient. Most of the zombies on Karkuo Agri World had been blasted to ash by the warships' lances, while a Cadian regiment would deal with those remaining on the planet.

Most of the Cadian regiment's troops were White Shields who had yet to earn their first kill. The slow-moving zombies would make excellent practice targets, and there would be no problems so long as they took proper disinfection measures.

The Dark Angels had originally been operating alongside them as well—a battle barge with combat strength and size comparable to a battleship, loaded with Dark Angels poised for battle. Their leader was none other than Sammael, the Ravenwing's 348th Grand Master.

These Dark Angels had silently approached Frostheart and requested to join the operation against Karkuo Agri World.

Before Kaiser Whitefang could respond, the Dark Angels' drop pods descended in swarms. They made an enormous contribution to defending Karkuo Agri World's last granaries, but Wodhaus always felt that their intentions were impure. Rather than a military operation, it seemed more like they were searching for something.

They traveled through the void, waiting for the Warp engines to finish charging. Then their small fleet would make a short jump to the next mission site.
