"And that's not all. Why don't you take a guess?" Lin Fan teased, but Wodhaus and the others had no chance to keep guessing.
Fulgrim, Perturabo, Dorn, and some soldiers of the Lamenters appeared. The three Primarchs stood out sharply among the Lamenters. Perturabo resembled a moving fortress, his face buried beneath all manner of heavy weapons. Dorn, meanwhile, was more like a solid, stately castle. Without the forest of gun barrels and spikes, he did not seem nearly as aggressive.
Fulgrim was understated. His unpainted armor showed only its natural metallic color. Its sole distinguishing feature was the subtle engraving across its surface. Unless the light and angle were just right, no one would notice the exquisitely artistic patterns on Fulgrim's armor.
Wodhaus, Kaiser Whitefang, and Colvin stared at the three Primarchs. They could only identify them by recalling the descriptions in ancient scrolls from their Chapters' archives.
Perturabo's armor, covered in steel and guns, reminded Wodhaus of the Iron Hands. He cautiously asked in a soft voice, "Is... is that Lord Ferrus?"
The moment Wodhaus spoke Ferrus's name, he felt two gazes lock onto him. One was chilling and dangerous; the other was filled with sorrow and melancholy.
"You should thank me for being in a good mood today." Perturabo's voice was like a heavy hammer, pounding against Wodhaus's heart again and again, filling him with inexplicable panic.
