Ferrus's voice was as cold and hard as iron. To Fulgrim, who had chosen rebellion, he spoke only a few words.
"Now, draw your weapon."
Ferrus had once said those words. Now, they roared out through Stunus's metal vocal pipes.
Fulgrim, lying on the ground, suffered even more. The countless words he had woven in his mind before this meeting vanished like smoke. He weakly opened his mouth, but only faint breaths escaped.
Jaghatai watched the awkward exchange between Stunus and Fulgrim and knew that his brother had not changed his sentimental nature. He turned and walked toward Stunus, who was sitting atop Fulgrim, then lifted the several-ton warrior with one hand.
"Enough, young man. Let us sit down and have a proper talk."
"A proper talk?" Stunus struggled in Jaghatai's grasp. "There's nothing to talk about! He's a traitor! A damned traitor! He and his lackeys are all slaves to the Dark Gods! Their atrocities are beyond count! The Imperial citizens who died miserably at their hands could plug up the Eye of Terror!"
"Yes, everything you said is right." Jaghatai curled his lips in displeasure. It was not as if he did not understand Stunus's reasoning.
