The fully armed Warsmith Drau wielded a halberd-axe combined with an ancient plasma gun, using all the excess heat to raise the weapon's blade temperature and satisfy the daemon sealed within.
His power pack bore four short, thick smokestacks, belching rust-colored smoke amid bursts of flame. His cloak consisted of countless mechanical tentacles, each fitted with sharp claws and laser cutters for welding through armor.
Aside from these, Drau's armor was exceptionally plain compared to that of other Chaos Space Marines. It retained the natural color of steel, with only golden skulls decorating joints such as the elbows and knees, carrying the style of the Iron Warriors during the Great Crusade.
Beneath him was a daemon engine called a Hellstalker. Its armor of black iron and brass gleamed with crimson daemon runes, while its octopus-like mouth dripped toxic industrial wastewater.
Eight mechanical claws granted the Hellstalker tremendous speed, while the three weapon-equipped tails at its rear made up for its shortcomings in ranged combat.
The two Forgefiends beside Drau were even heavier hitters. These massive war machines crawled on limbs driven by powerful pistons. Cannons and arms bound with heavy weapons extended from their armored bodies. Beneath their battle-scarred metal shells lurked vicious Warp daemons, and subduing such a daemon to serve a Space Marine through long, bitter wars was no easy task.
Riding atop a Forgefiend, Drau watched the Space Wolves before him with contempt. His Havocs and other daemon engines had divided the Space Marines of the other Chapters and were slowly picking them apart. The Doomblades, unstoppable across the battlefield, had also been locked onto by hate-filled Maulerfiends, groaning in pain beneath their savage blows.
"Look at you barbarians," Drau said coldly. "You used to be damned executioners, butchers of worlds, and now you've become protectors of
