Background / History

Yin Zhengyi is Yin Herong's younger brother and a prominent manager within Yin Corporation. Though regarded as more naturally gifted in business than Yin Herong, he was not selected to lead the corporation; Old Master Yin valued Yin Herong's steadiness and ability to preserve the family business. 53

Within the family, Yin Zhengyi cultivated the image of a charismatic, attentive uncle. He took Yin Li and Yin Qing out when they were children, attended Yin Qing's parent-teacher conferences, and was especially close to Yin Li. 53 He was also publicly known as a capable, selfless supporter of Yin Herong, Yin Li, and the corporation. 70 71

His marriage was deeply troubled. Yin Li and Yin Qing describe him as romantic and chronically unfaithful; his wife developed depression and once attempted suicide. 53 In Yin Zhengyi's later account, their mutual distrust and escalating conflicts led to estrangement.
