Background / History

Furina presides over Wu Wanghai’s trial at the Opera Epiclese after he publicly calls Focalors his wife. Outraged and embarrassed, she proposes creating a law to sentence him to death for touching and hugging a Statue of The Seven, but Neuvillette rejects the proposal. When Wu repeats his declaration, she identifies herself as Fontaine’s Hydro Archon and the God of Justice. 4

Wu’s Vision and acquittal intensify public speculation that Furina accepted his confession. She denies granting the Vision, unsuccessfully attempts to prolong the trial, and invokes her final right of judgment to call Wu “Focalors’s dog” rather than accept the “wife” framing. 5

After the trial, Furina has Clorinde bring Wu to a private rehearsal room, where she questions his origins, his knowledge of Teyvat, and his public declarations. Though initially overwhelmed by his affection, she permits him to be her “dog”; they agree that he may call her “Fufu” privately, while he is expected to address her as “Master Furina” in public. 6 7

Furina becomes Wu’s guide around Fontaine and joins his early exploration. She lends him the Splendor of Tranquil Waters, teaches him basic swimming, explores Fontemer Aberrants with him, and urges him to retreat when he confronts legendary rays beyond his ability. As Wu reveals information about the serial disappearances, Primordial Sea Water, and Fontaine’s prophecy, Furina approaches the matter as Fontaine’s God of Justice: she challenges claims without evidence but agrees to investigate. She accompanies him to Poisson, meets Navia with him, assists in seeking Vacher’s laboratory, and continues gathering information on the prophecy across Teyvat. 23 25 28 34

After learning more about the prophecy, Furina accepts Wu’s offer to investigate a way to change it. She remains uncertain about possible leads, including Childe’s sighting of a whale, but agrees that the prophecy may be breakable. 37

Later, Furina helps Wu settle in Fontaine, gives him more than 10,000 Primogems, receives secondary access to his phone, and makes its first ten-pull wish.
