Background / History

Jiang Xianghe is Jiang Fu'an's eldest daughter. Born under the Ancestral Home's Selective Breeding effect, she possessed the family's strongest cultivation aptitude among its first three children: a Three-Element Water–Fire–Earth Spiritual Root. Her father believed this root was likely influenced by the effect and anticipated that a cultivation sect might recruit her once she turned seven. 2

As a child, Seedling was thoughtful and self-reflective. After she and her siblings fought boys who had bullied Stone, she acknowledged that she should have stopped them rather than immediately escalating to a fight. Jiang Fu'an subsequently taught her to conceal the family's unusual strengths and protect its secrets. 2

On her seventh birthday, Jiang Fu'an gave her a box containing six wooden figurines representing the family. She treasured them, kept them close, and would not let Stone touch them. 3 6 Later that year, Melodious Sound Sect cultivators tested her Spiritual Root at the Wang Family estate. Upon discovering her Three-Element Spiritual Root, they accepted her into the sect and took her away to cultivate. After two years in the sect, Seedling reunited warmly with Jiang Fu'an outside its gates. Her life there centered on meditation, breath circulation, basic spells, and lectures by Foundation Establishment cultivators. Although she found sect life interesting, she admitted that she missed home. 27 28

She used her early sect resources and knowledge to help her family begin cultivation. She gave Jiang Fu'an the Eternal Spring Technique and Qi-Nourishing Pills, sent Blazing Fire Eagle eggs for Yue'er, and gave Stone a Purple Essence Iron dagger. 29 She later opened a Storage Ring found by her father, identified its resources, and helped divide its contents. 30 31
