Clear Dew Mountain was originally controlled by the Wang Family. Its Spirit Spring had emerged more than a decade before the Jiang Family's arrival; because the Wangs had a member in the Melodious Sound Sect, no one contested their possession of it. The Wang Family maintained an estate at the mountain's foot, fruit groves, fertile farmland, Spiritual Fields, and households of attached mortals on its slopes. 6 64

The mountain's value appeared to collapse after its Spiritual Soil was dug out of the Wang Family's Spiritual Fields overnight. The soil could not naturally recover once removed, and the damaged fields became a burden to the Wang Family. 54 61

A blue Fu Yuan revealed that Clear Dew Mountain's Spirit Spring was fed by an underground Earth Vein extending from the Mizhang Mountains. After an earthquake altered that vein's course, the spring began receiving increasingly dense spiritual energy; Jiang Fu'an was warned to purchase the entire mountain within one year, before the coming anomaly attracted attention. 54

The Jiang Family acquired Clear Dew Mountain from the Wang Family for two hundred Spirit Stones and formally took possession of it. Jiang Fu'an retained the attached mortal households rather than dismissing them, while relocating his own household from Xu Family Village to the mountain. 64 65 86

One year after the move, the Spirit Spring began overflowing its pool and releasing conspicuously thicker spiritual mist. The Jiang Family prepared for the expected emergence by expanding the spring pool, raising spirit beasts, and establishing the Golden Light Formation around the summit residence. 67 68

The Spiritual Vein eventually emerged in full, filling the mountain and surrounding air with dense, milky-white currents of spiritual energy. The event was observed by local villagers, Wang Zhiyue, Ma Ping, and a passing Rogue Cultivator, making Clear Dew Mountain a target for disputes and raids. 82

Geography and Features

Clear Dew Mountain is a relatively low mountain, standing a little over three hundred meters tall. A stone path leads from its foot to the Jiang Family residence at the summit. 86

• Spirit Spring — The mountain's central cultivation resource. Its water supports the Jiang Family's fishpond and spirit-beast husbandry, including the Water-Leaving Crocodile. 67

Defenses

Golden Light Formation

Seedling established the Golden Light Formation around the summit residence when the Spirit Spring began showing signs of change. The formation forms a golden barrier over the residence and has repeatedly prevented nighttime intruders from entering. 68 91

Spirit-Beast Patrol Network

The Jiang Family uses spirit beasts to monitor and defend the mountain rather than relying solely on cultivators. Yue'er coordinates much of this force. 97 113

Ownership Disputes and Intrusions

• Wang Family — Wang Zhiyue argued that the newly emerged Spiritual Vein still belonged to the Wang Family because it had not been specifically listed in the mountain-sale contract. Jiang Fu'an rejected the claim, citing the contract's sale of the entire mountain and surrounding fields. 84
• Sister Bai — Bai believed Clear Dew Mountain should have been hers because she had considered buying it from the Wang Family years earlier. After learning that the Jiang Family had acquired it cheaply, she led ten cultivators in a nighttime assault on the mountain. 85 86
• Rogue Cultivators — The vein's emergence drew repeated trespassers seeking resources or access to the mountain. Stone killed or drove off several infiltrators, including thieves targeting Bloodfang Rice. 91 105

Development

Following the Spiritual Vein's emergence, Clear Dew Mountain became the foundation of the Jiang Family's expanding cultivation enterprise. Its fields produce spirit crops, its bamboo supports large-scale talisman-paper production, and its defenses allow the family to retain control despite continued outside interest. 105 111

The mountain's reputation spread across the surrounding cultivation world; several years after the vein's emergence, cultivators still recognized Clear Dew Mountain as the site of a rare natural Spiritual Vein. 111
