Hermione looked furious.

The points they had just earned had not even had time to settle!

And they had already been deducted again!

"Is that guy an idiot? Those were points I'd just earned, and I earned them from Professor Snape! Couldn't he use his tiny brain to think about how difficult that was?"

Hermione was both angry and heartbroken, so much so that she had even used the words Snape was always muttering.

Silan was somewhat helpless as well. Ron had pretty much always been like this in the beginning.

He was not bad by nature, but he was simply a brat.

He had older brothers above him and a younger sister below him.

He was neither the youngest child who received the most affection nor the eldest brother from whom the most was expected.

Stuck somewhere in the middle, even his wand, something incomparably important to a wizard, had been handed down from his brothers.

It was inevitable that this would make him feel somewhat inferior.

And excessive inferiority, like excessive arrogance, was poison capable of destroying a person.

Even after class ended, Hermione was still indignant.

"I really don't understand! Why does that guy dislike you so much?"

"Because I'm a Slytherin?"

"Can't that idiot see that you're different from the other Slytherins?" Hermione hugged her books, her footsteps noticeably heavier with anger.

"Some ideas can't be changed overnight." Silan shrugged helplessly.

Pure-blood wizards like Ron had been exposed to things from the wizarding world since they were very young.

They had long been familiar with the affairs of Hogwarts' four Houses, so they developed preconceived notions early on.

Ever since childhood, he had heard plenty of negative comments about Slytherin from his family elders.

Coupled with the fact that Malfoy and the others were always opposing them, it was not surprising that he was biased against Slytherin.

Stereotypes formed over many years naturally could not be overturned in just a few days.

Still... if he had to put it that way, Ron did not seem to be wrong.

Silan was no different from the other Slytherins. If anything, he was even more purely Slytherin.

He was simply good at pretending.

"Alright, don't be angry." Silan winked at Hermione. "I'll take you somewhere fun."

"You're not planning to go to the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor, are you?" Hermione abruptly stopped and turned to warn him. "That place is forbidden."

"No, don't worry."

"Then where is it?"

"It's a secret for now. There won't be any surprise if I tell you already. Besides, we should first go see how Neville is doing."

Hermione nodded. "I hope he's alright already."

The two of them headed together toward the Hogwarts Hospital Wing.

As they walked, they discussed how they should comfort Neville when they saw him.

In the end, they decided that no matter what, they absolutely could not laugh.

The Hogwarts Hospital Wing was well equipped and could handle most ordinary or magical illnesses and injuries, including broken or missing bones.

Only serious cases would be transferred to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

A minor accident like this while brewing a Boil-Cure Potion could be handled perfectly well by the Hospital Wing alone.

When Silan entered the Hospital Wing, he found two groaning students lying in the beds inside.

They were still wearing Quidditch uniforms, so they had probably fallen during practice.

A tall witch was treating them.

She must be Madam Pomfrey.

What was strange was that several young wizards had clearly been sent here from Potions. Yet only Neville was still lying in a bed now; the others had disappeared somewhere.

At the moment, Neville had a white cloth draped over his face, with only his eyes exposed as he stared at the ceiling.

"Neville, how are you feeling?" Silan walked over to the bedside.

"Oh, Silan, and Hermione. Why are you here?" Neville tilted his head, looking at them with his one exposed eye.

"I mean, I'm alright. Madam Pomfrey has already given me some initial treatment. Now I just need to apply some medicine."

"What about the others?" Hermione glanced at the other beds. "Weren't you the first one sent here? Why did they leave before you?"

If not for the cloth covering his face...

Well, even without it, neither of them would have been able to see Neville blushing right now.

After all, the boils on his face were already red enough.

Neville guiltily looked up at the ceiling, stammering for a long time without explaining why.

"Alright, Mr. Longbottom. This is the last bottle of boil treatment. Remember, it's for applying, not drinking. Otherwise, you would have recovered long ago."

As Madam Pomfrey passed by the bed, she took out a bottle of medicine and handed it to Neville.

"Madam Pomfrey!" Neville immediately panicked after being exposed in front of them.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't notice your friends were here."

No sooner had Madam Pomfrey finished speaking than another young wizard was carried in.

She hurriedly turned and jogged over, muttering nonstop.

"Another young wizard! What are the professors at Hogwarts even doing? This is terribly irresponsible!"

"Oh, you poor child..."

It was obvious that Madam Pomfrey's mood was inversely proportional to the number of young wizards sent to the Hospital Wing.

The fewer students there were, the happier she was.

With so many people here now, she was in a terrible mood.

When Silan and Hermione saw the bottle of medicine Madam Pomfrey had stuffed into Neville's hands, they exchanged a glance and turned around in perfect unspoken agreement.

Both their shoulders shook uncontrollably.

Only after quite a while did the two turn back around, grinning.

"Were you laughing just now?" Neville asked.

"No." Silan and Hermione shook their heads at the same time.

"No?" Neville asked again.

"Of course not."

The two of them nodded with great conviction.

"More importantly, let me help you apply the medicine." Silan skillfully changed the subject.

He took the medicine from Neville's hand and lifted the white cloth covering his face.

"Wow..."

Hermione could not help letting out a startled cry.

The boils on Neville's face were red and swollen, distorting half his face. Up close, they could even see a thin layer of pus slowly seeping out from the boils.

No wonder he had covered his face with a white cloth. It really was rather frightening.

But Silan did not mind at all.

After using some cotton gauze from nearby to clean away the pus, he began applying the medicine for Neville. His brows were slightly furrowed, his expression serious, and his movements gentle, without the slightest hint of disgust.

Watching from the side, Hermione thought that Silan was truly too kind.

"Waa... thank you, Silan."

Neville was so touched that he was practically about to cry.

"Do you remember what I said a few days ago?" Silan asked.

"Huh?" Neville was stunned by the question.

"I said we were friends. Since we're friends, you don't need to be so polite." Silan smiled at him and continued applying the medicine.

He discovered that the medicine Madam Pomfrey had given him was extremely effective.

The skin that had just been treated quickly returned to normal.

This surprised him somewhat. Madam Pomfrey's medical skills really were impressive. No wonder there had always been rumors that St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries had invited her to join them many times.

They had even promised her the position of deputy director, but Madam Pomfrey had firmly refused.

Even so, St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries still welcomed her at any time and kept the deputy director position open for her.

As for the reason, no one could say for sure.

Upon hearing Silan's words, Neville shed tears of emotion.

Silan really is my good friend!

As he was touched, he suddenly heard Silan say, "After I finish applying the medicine, I'll take you somewhere. I got you a greenhouse there, so you can grow medicinal herbs yourself from now on."

"Neville, you have talent. If you waste it, I'll be heartbroken."

Of course he would be heartbroken.

If Neville's talent was buried, he would lose a talented free laborer and might not be able to easily obtain valuable plants in the future.

Not earning was the same as losing.

And if he really lost out, that would be a huge loss.

That was something Silan could not tolerate.

"Thank you, thank you, Silan." Neville choked out.

Aside from his family, no one had ever valued him this much.

Someone as outstanding as Silan was not only willing to be friends with him, but also helped apply medicine without the slightest disgust. He even cared about Neville's studies and future.

It made him feel like the happiest person in the world.

Could there be a better friend than Silan in this world?

He thought of everything for Neville!

"This friend, Neville Longbottom, is determined to keep!"

Neville silently swore to himself.

On the bloodline and honor of the Longbottom family, he would definitely study Herbology properly and never let down Silan's expectations.

Even Hermione beside them could not help sighing emotionally.

Silan was simply too wonderful. He thought of his friends in every way. How could there be such a good person?

She really did not know how Slytherin had such good luck to have a student like Silan.

After the medicine was applied, the boils on Neville's face quickly disappeared.

"Madam Pomfrey, thank you for healing my friend. Goodbye."

Silan politely greeted Madam Pomfrey.

"Oh, don't mention it. Be more careful in the future."

Madam Pomfrey had noticed earlier that this little fellow had been helping Neville apply the medicine. Now that he was leaving, he had not even forgotten to say goodbye to her.

She immediately felt that he was a kind, polite, good child.

This greatly increased Madam Pomfrey's favorable impression of Silan.

"Come on. We need to find the Troll-Clubbed Barnabas the Barmy Tapestry first before we can find that place."
