Background / History

Rise to the Papacy

Bibi Dong was a direct disciple of the former Pope, Qian Xunji. After Tang Hao severely wounded Qian Xunji, she gained the opportunity to devour him. Qian Daoliu later elevated her to Pope because of her talent and ability, intending for her to stabilize Spirit Hall until Qian Renxue could succeed to the position. 11 15

As Pope, Bibi Dong cultivated support among Spirit Hall's lower- and middle-ranking soul masters, referring to them as the “wings” she needed to oppose the Consecration Hall. 12

Conflict with Qiangu Aoshi

When the Consecration Hall proposed appointing Qiangu Aoshi as Holy Son, Bibi Dong rejected the proposal on the grounds that he was too young and lacked accomplishments. Privately, she regarded the appointment as Qian Daoliu's attempt to divide her authority. 10 11

After Qiangu Aoshi's role in Tang Hao's capture gave him the merit Bibi Dong had demanded, she was forced to recognize him as Holy Son. She withheld personnel and duties from him, making the title largely ceremonial. 15 20

Qiangu Aoshi subsequently won over Spirit Hall's upper ranks by distributing immortal herbs. Bibi Dong responded by considering the execution of an elder to intimidate potential defectors, prompting Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to secretly report her plans to Qiangu Aoshi. 38 39

Downfall and Death

Bibi Dong coordinated with Yu Xiaogang and the Upper Three Sects in an effort to suppress Qiangu Aoshi. While she intended to use the alliance for her own purposes and eliminate the Upper Three Sects afterward, Qiangu Aoshi had already learned of the scheme through his informants. 40

During the public confrontation at Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong criticized Qiangu Aoshi's power-stripping ability and sided with the Upper Three Sects. Qiangu Aoshi publicly exposed her ties to Yu Xiaogang, provoking her into abandoning her composure and entering battle with her Death Spider Emperor martial soul. 42

Bibi Dong openly rejected Qian Renxue as her daughter and declared her hatred for the Angel lineage. Qian Daoliu then ordered her removal from office and execution for betraying Spirit Hall. 43 44

Although her Immortal Body allowed her to reconstruct herself after the worshippers destroyed her body, Qiangu Aoshi used Coiling Dragon True Form and Azure Dragon Soul to destroy her before the skill could activate again. Her martial souls, soul rings, soul bones, and soul power were expelled upon her death. 44
