Background

The Twelve Ancestral Witches originated as twelve blood spheres within the Pangu Blood Pool of Pangu Hall. Di Jiang awakened first; three thousand years later, the other eleven emerged in human form amid manifestations of their respective laws. Their natural baleful energy eroded their Primordial Spirits, reinforcing their original belief that physical cultivation alone was sufficient. 1 2

Di Jiang rejected that belief and used the Earthly Dao Treasured Mirror—a Pangu legacy bound to him—to shield every sibling’s Primordial Spirit. This allowed the Ancestral Witches to pursue parallel physical and Primordial Spirit cultivation, use spiritual treasures, and comprehend Dao teachings previously thought inaccessible to them. 3 8

Personality

The Ancestral Witches are intensely loyal to Di Jiang and act on his orders without hesitation. They readily retaliate against anyone who threatens him or their siblings, as shown when they brutally beat Jie Yin and Zhun Ti for attempting to seize Di Jiang’s Meditation Cushion. 6

They are blunt, combative, and proud of their Pangu lineage. Zhurong and Gong Gong quarrel constantly due to the opposition between Fire and Water, often requiring Di Jiang’s intervention.
