Background / History

Heaven-Opening Tribulation

Pangu was born from a Chaos golden egg within the Thirty-Six-Petaled Genesis Azure Lotus. Taking a colossal human form, he wielded the Pangu Axe and perceived that eternal, stagnant Chaos could produce no new life. He therefore chose to divide clear from turbid and open a new world, seeking to perfect the Great Daos through change and creation. 74

His decision drew the opposition of the three thousand Chaos Demon Gods, who depended on Chaos’s existing order. Nine of their strongest—Time, Space, Yin-Yang, Five Elements, Creation, Destruction, Fate, Karma, and Slaughter—formed a killing formation to stop him. 74

Pangu’s Force Dao overpowered their laws. He destroyed the Time Demon God’s temporal techniques, severely wounded the Space Demon God Yang Mei, and killed or scattered the other attackers. He then defeated Yin-Yang Ancestor, Five Elements, and Creation Demon God in succession, using absolute force to break their respective Dao manifestations. 74 75

After the Demon Gods’ defeat, Pangu refined their scattered Great Dao radiance and law fragments into the forming Primordial World. He did not pursue the fleeing True Spirits, regarding the conflict as a struggle of Daos rather than a personal vendetta. 75

Transformation into the Primordial World

Pangu exhausted himself completing Heaven and Earth, then transformed his body and Dao body into the Primordial World rather than dying through an external killing blow. 76 94

When Lingxiao’s Primordial Spirit touched Pangu’s statue in Pangu Hall, he was drawn into a vision of the Heaven-Opening Tribulation. Pangu extracted the purest Dao essences of Yin-Yang, Five Elements, and Creation from the defeated Demon Gods and bestowed them upon Lingxiao as three source divine lights. 74 75 76

Pangu’s statue later responded to Lingxiao’s breakthrough into the Quasi-Saint realm, causing Pangu Hall’s murals, Blood Pool, and Creation Merit to react. 77

Recognition of the Witch Race

The Twelve Ancestral Witches established the Witch Race through a grand sacrifice at Mount Buzhou, honoring Pangu as their Father God and swearing to complete the Earthly Dao and Reincarnation. 97

Pangu’s lingering might answered their ritual: a phantom of Pangu appeared above Mount Buzhou, and his presence froze the laws of the Primordial World. The resulting recognition brought Heavenly Dao Merit to the Witch Race and strengthened its fortune. 97 98
