Background / History

The Human Race was created by Nuwa from Mount Buzhou. In its earliest days, it was extremely vulnerable: it possessed no suitable cultivation method, had no effective means of resisting disasters or demon calamities, and was preyed upon by the Demon Race near Mount Shouyang 13 181.

Zhao Gongming intervened during this initial crisis, destroyed the attacking demons, and offered to shelter the entire race within his Myriad Heavens World. The humans accepted, having been abandoned by Nuwa and left without aid by the Primordial World's Saints 13. Within the world, they survived their weakest period, multiplied rapidly, and received cultivation methods specifically suited to their bodies and Primordial Spirits 13 15.

As their population expanded, the Human Race developed fire and shelter under Zhao Gongming's hidden guidance. Suiren Clan created fire through drilling wood, while Youchao Clan devised grass-and-wood dwellings; both accomplishments brought Heavenly Dao Merit 15. Zhao Gongming also named Ziyi Shi after the emergence of fire and houses 16.

The race eventually outgrew the resource capacity of the Myriad Heavens World. Zhao Gongming returned it to the Primordial World and settled its tribes around Mount Buzhou, in territory where Demon Race activity was scarce 73. The Human Race's return alarmed the Heavenly Dao Sages, who recognized both its explosive growth and its growing influence over Human Race Fortune 73.

During the Human Race Calamity, the Demon Race sought to slaughter humans and forge the Slaying Witch Sword from their flesh, blood, and resentment. The Human Race gathered under the Three Ancestors and defended itself with the Kindling Fire Formation, but ultimately required Zhao Gongming's direct intervention against the Demon Emperors 88 93 94. Zhen Yuanzi later protected their territory with the Primordial Origin Ancestral Vein Formation 97 100.

After the Witch and Demon Clans withdrew from the Primordial World's center stage, Hongjun declared the Human Race the protagonist of the next Heaven-Earth Tribulation 126. The race flourished through the eras of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, becoming the Primordial World's dominant race and the foundation of the Human Dao 129 134 181.
