| Two-Flower Innate Realm | 41 | After his sword heart was shattered by Su Chang'an, Xia Konghan rebuilt himself through seclusion and reached the Two-Flower Innate Realm. 23 41 |
Background / History
Xia Konghan is the personal disciple of the One-Heart Sword Pavilion's current Pavilion Master, one of Yan Prefecture's three foremost powers. In his early years, he was acclaimed as the foremost swordsman of Yan Prefecture's younger generation. 23
He once challenged Su Chang'an and suffered a crushing defeat: Su Chang'an broke his longsword with a single fist-and-finger strike. The loss shattered Xia Konghan's sword heart, sending him into years of seclusion. Rather than remaining defeated, he rebuilt his cultivation and emerged stronger. 23 41
Upon arriving in the Imperial City, Xia Konghan publicly questioned Su Chang'an's identity and defeated Six Doors constable Bai Bijun. He then used his Azure Water Serpent-Slaying Sword Armament Form to humiliate Lan Kaishan before leaving the scene unmolested. 23
During the Demon Ghost incident on Linxi Long Street, Xia Konghan fought the creature alone. He severely wounded it and forced it to transform, but its escalating power overwhelmed and injured him. Su Qingyang intervened before the Demon Ghost could kill him. 40 41 42
After witnessing Su Qingyang's strength as a Martial Dao Grandmaster, Xia Konghan's earlier pride gave way to open admiration and gratitude. Su Qingyang told him that his future breakthrough to Grandmaster would depend upon his fate. 43 45
Appearance
Xia Konghan is a young swordsman usually seen in white robes, carrying an azure longsword. His bearing is cold, proud, and refined even in battle. 40 41
- Carries the Heavenly Flood Dragon Sword, an exceptionally sharp treasured sword. 41
- Uses Heavenly Flood Dragon Armor, which protected him from a potentially fatal blow by the Demon Ghost. 42
- Often fights with a composed expression and his sword angled low at his side. 41
Personality
Xia Konghan is outwardly cold, reserved, and highly self-assured. He dismisses provocations from opponents he considers unworthy, and his confidence in his swordsmanship can come across as arrogance. 23 41 79
He possesses a firm moral line. When he encountered Wu Sheng attempting to violate an ordinary girl, he broke Wu Sheng's hands and feet rather than killing him. 79
Despite his pride, Xia Konghan can recognize a genuine gap in strength. His encounter with Su Qingyang transformed his hostility and competitive spirit into gratitude and respect. He is also capable of caution, withdrawing from Red Mountain rather than risking his sect's future in an unknown danger. 45 94
