Evolution and the Soul-Melting Pill

Before her evolution, Medusa had a sixth-rank Purple Nether Flame Serpent companion. She forcibly devoured a Heavenly Flame, survived the process, and evolved into the Seven-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Python; the transformation initially left her sharing a body with the python and in need of a Soul-Melting Pill. 5 55 72

Seeking the pill formula and ingredients, Medusa attacked Xiao Yan and Su Heng in the Imperial Capital. Medicine Elder intervened, and their clash escalated into a spatially isolated battle that neither side could quickly win. When both combatants were depleted, Su Heng brokered a transaction: he would arrange Soul-Melting Pills in exchange for Medusa's Origin Beast Flame, while she would provide protection to the Su Clan and Desert Iron Mercenary Group. 55 56

Medusa later allowed Su Heng to use the Seven-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Flame. The ordeal was also a test: if he survived its tempering, his meridians and Dou Qi would be strengthened; after he succeeded, she healed him and began to acknowledge his potential. 59

Return to the Snake-People Tribe

After returning to her tribe, Medusa reasserted her authority immediately. She punished Black Poison for attacking Su Heng, ordered that Su Heng be treated as an honored guest, and directed the tribe to assist his family. 73

She also supported Su Heng's plan to refine a Seventh-grade Transformation Pill for her younger twin sister, Die. Medusa provided the formula and materials, supplied Dou Qi during the pill's fusion stage, and ultimately saw Die regain human form and Peak Dou Emperor strength. 76 77 78

During the Misty Cloud Sect's invasion, Medusa accepted Su Heng's strategy of ambushing the enemy at an oasis. Though Yun Shan initially defeated her, she drew him into an ambush with five Snake-People Dou Emperors, then personally led the counterattack against the sect's forces. 91 92

Medusa and Su Heng's initial transaction developed into a relationship founded on shared danger, trust, and practical cooperation. In the Dou God Ancient Hall, Zhu Ying imprisoned Medusa and attempted to erase her soul. After Su Heng freed her, Medusa returned to shield him from Zhu Ying's Emperor Realm soul attack.
