Background

Demon Subduing Douluo is the burly Seventh Consecrator of Spirit Hall’s Consecration Hall and one of its long-secluded senior powerhouses. He shares the rare Coiling Dragon Staff Martial Soul with his brother-in-arms Qianjun Douluo. Though the Consecrators usually remained in seclusion to cultivate, he was eager for an opportunity to leave the hall after years without progress. 1 2

He encountered Ye Han when the youth sought refuge in Spirit Hall with the same Martial Soul. Impressed by Ye Han’s four Ten-Thousand-Year Spirit Rings, External Spirit Bones, and potential, Demon Subduing immediately offered protection and later publicly recognized him as his adopted grandson. 1 2 7

Ye Han subsequently became Demon Subduing Douluo’s teacher in the Unyielding Staff Technique, a nine-form art designed around the Coiling Dragon Staff’s unyielding nature.
