The King of Dead Silence's figure shifted from utter stillness to extreme motion. The greatsword in his hand vanished outright, transforming into countless afterimages swirling around him as a gray-white curtain of swords enveloped his body.

The Life-Extinguishing Sword Qi struck the sword curtain with dense hissing sounds like rain. Sword Qi was constantly assimilated and dispersed by the power of Dead Silence, yet even more surged forward without pause, colliding with the greatsword he wielded in an attempt to breach his defenses.

Most of the Sword Qi vanished in the collisions. Only a few broke through his defenses and slashed across his body, which was harder than divine metal, leaving deep gashes. These Sword Qi were the few ownerless Eighth-Order Sword Qi that had condensed on their own. Only they could remain after clashing with the greatsword rather than dispersing immediately. Even so, the wounds they inflicted were swiftly covered and repaired by the power of Dead Silence, though they clearly diverted a great deal of his attention.

Seizing the opportunity, the Netherworld Blood Sovereign unleashed both Yuan Tu and Abi.

Yuan Tu governed slaughter, its blood-red sword light pointing straight at the source. Abi governed punishment, its jet-black sword aura specializing in shattering defenses. The twin swords joined as one, transforming into a red-and-black storm of destruction as they launched an unending offensive alongside the Martial Ancestor.

Yang Mu's Undead Legion also circled constantly around the outskirts. Negative spells such as Aging Curse, Soul Screech, Bone Binding... clung to the King of Dead Silence like maggots on a corpse, layer upon layer. They could not inflict decisive damage, but they greatly slowed his movements and disrupted the flow of his power.
