There were not many people in the cabin, only three. One was a tall man with sunlike golden hair and azure eyes, a knight's longsword at his waist, dressed in a pristine white order knight uniform.
"Hello, I'm Likok Owen, a Faith Knight."
When he saw Yang Mu looking at him, the man took the initiative to extend his hand for a handshake and introduced himself.
Yang Mu shook his hand with an odd expression. He knew this was the etiquette of this world, and the only reason for his strange look was the man's profession. No matter which god they served, Faith Knights were extremely hostile toward Necromancers.
Necromancers toyed with corpses and souls, even manipulating life and death. In their eyes, this was stealing the authority of the gods, especially since many powerful Necromancers particularly enjoyed harvesting the souls of believers.
Such souls were tough and pure. Once corrupted, they became excellent materials for creating powerful Wraith-type undead, or even Fallen Angels.
Naturally, the gods especially hated Necromancers, and knights who believed in the gods were likewise filled with hostility toward them.
Yet this Faith Knight was treating him like this. It seemed this region was incredibly far from the Mage World, so far that the gods here had never even been ravaged by Necromancers. They were still fresh leeks.
Looking at the sunny Owen, Yang Mu seemed to see a pure soul. Perhaps he could use him to create an undead knight.
After shaking Owen's hand amicably, Yang Mu turned to look at the other two. One was a bewitching woman with flaxen hair and green eyes. Although her clothes were not revealing, she still gave off an irresistibly seductive air.
"This is Ellen Felice, a Hybrid Succubus."
The black Wizard Sabo introduced her to Yang Mu, but when he was about to introduce Yang Mu, he awkwardly stopped, realizing that he still did not know Yang Mu's abilities or profession.
"My name is Yang Mu. I'm a Black Wizard."
When Yang Mu said the words "Black Wizard," the expressions of everyone present changed slightly.
It was not exactly fear, but they were wary of him. Yang Mu did not know what Black Wizard represented. He had merely heard the term from the Vampires at the manor and used it.
Black Wizards were Wizards who studied forbidden knowledge. They would stop at nothing for power—the lunatics and madmen among Wizards.
Imagine someone who called himself insane standing beside you. Whatever expression you would make was the expression these people wore.
Still, they did not say anything. They merely looked at Sabo with reproach in their eyes. Brother, couldn't you figure things out before recruiting someone? What were you bringing a madman here for?
But the matter had already come to this, and there was no changing it. Sabo could only smile awkwardly and continue introducing the others to Yang Mu.
"This is Qulaiton Vanessa, an Ancestral Spirit Wizard, a powerful Wizard who can draw upon the strength of her ancestors."
Vanessa was an elderly woman around fifty, dressed in a black noblewoman's robe. Though she still had a good figure, the traces of time could not be hidden. She also held a small fan in her hand.
The two nodded to each other, and that was enough for an introduction.
"I assume everyone has some idea who is behind this incident. If I'm not mistaken, the Vampire responsible may be a Count. None of us can deal with him alone, which is why I gathered you all here. I hope we can borrow each other's strength and deal with him."
After introducing everyone, Sabo did not waste words and went straight to the point.
Naturally, no one objected to his proposal.
However, while they were discussing it, another commotion broke out aboard the ship. Someone else had died.

And it was the Captain who had died. The group hurried to the Captain's cabin, only to find that the Captain's head had already been separated from his body and placed on the table before him, his face still frozen in a stiff smile.
Beneath his head was a sea chart, soaked through with blood and clearly unusable. This was naked mockery and provocation.
Owen snorted coldly and was about to step forward, but Vanessa stopped him.
"His soul hasn't dispersed yet. Let me handle it."
After saying that, Vanessa stepped forward and closed her eyes. Layered voices emerged around her, voices made up of different people, all of them women. They whispered and rustled indistinctly, impossible to make out.
Yang Mu watched her with great interest. So this was an Ancestral Spirit Wizard? She relied on the power of those who came before her to cast spells, but what was the mechanism behind this kind of Witchcraft?
Was it a simple projection of power, communication with spiritual entities to borrow their strength, or a contract?
While Yang Mu observed Vanessa, she had already completed her Witchcraft. Her spiritual consciousness linked with the Captain's soul, which was about to disperse. Countless images flashed before her, finally stopping on the face of a handsome middle-aged man.
"Found him."
As Vanessa spoke, she opened her eyes, plucked a lock of hair from the Captain's head, wrapped it in paper, smeared it with his blood, and burned it over an oil lamp. Soon, she obtained a pinch of blood-red ash.
She placed the ash on a yellowed sheet of paper and blew lightly. A lifelike blood-red portrait appeared on the paper.
The image of a handsome middle-aged man with the corners of his mouth slightly raised appeared on the sheet.
Vanessa called over the second mate standing nearby and held the portrait before him.
"Do you know this person?"
The second mate, who managed the cargo and received guests, glanced at the portrait and answered.
"Yes. He's a guest in cabin number nine. His name is Bill Rist."
"Let's go."
After obtaining the clue, Owen took the lead toward cabin number nine, drawing the knight's longsword from his waist as he walked.
When he kicked open the door to cabin number nine, the Vampire Count they sought was not inside. There was only a pale-faced woman.
The woman was very weak, and there were dried bloodstains on her neck. She had clearly been fed upon by a Vampire.
Yang Mu did not know why the Vampire had not killed her as it had the other two.
"Pure Heart? A devout believer."
The instant Yang Mu saw the woman, he looked toward her heart. That was the Pure Heart he needed. No wonder the Vampire could not bear to kill her.
Those with Pure Hearts were either Fanatical Believers or Sages, people without the slightest distracting thought in their hearts, people who devoted everything to others.
To Vampires, the blood of such people was the finest vintage wine.
"Bearing the Lord's lingering radiance, offering the light within my heart, shine forth—Healing Light."
Owen knelt on one knee beside the bed and chanted something akin to a hymn. A gentle glow shone upon the nun lying on the bed.
