History
Founding
According to Zhao Xun, the Zhao Family's supreme ancestor was a Human Immortal who fell after being besieged by several Human Immortals. With the Zhao Family facing extermination, his son Zhao Chongxu rose to prominence. 332
Zhao Chongxu fought throughout the chaotic realm as a Human Immortal, broke through to the Earthly Immortal realm, killed the Human Immortals responsible for his father's death, unified the realm, and established new laws and order as the founding Sacred Emperor of Zhao Kingdom. 332
The Rong Tribe submitted during the founding era, but gradually regained strength over the following centuries and resumed hostile activities against Zhao Kingdom. 332
Fire Jiao Island Expansion
Zhao Kingdom initially entered Fire Jiao Island through the Sixth-Grade Top-Hundred Tournament and competing expeditions for Fire Spirit Pearls and the inheritance of the Crimson-Refined Fire Jiao Sect. 426 460 463
When the Great Dream Dynasty attempted to claim the Fire Jiao Island Waters, Zhao Kingdom and the Rong Tribe revealed a prearranged agreement to jointly divide the region north and south. 556
The resulting settlement granted Zhao Kingdom the southern half of Fire Jiao Island. Zhao Kingdom, the Rong Tribe, and the Star-Sea Fishing Alliance also formed an alliance against the Great Dream Dynasty. 561
Zhao Kingdom began large-scale settlement and development of its new territory, sending tens of thousands of people, supplies, and craftsmen to Fire Jiao Island. 589
Territory & Administration
| Administrative Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Central authority | The imperial court has the final say in the Central Plains. 37 |
| Provincial administrations | Seven provincial administrations are mentioned before Fire Jiao Island's development. 163 |
| Projected expansion | Fire Jiao Island's development is expected to give Zhao Kingdom an additional provincial capital, bringing the total to three royal capitals, eight provincial capitals, and ninety-seven prefectural capitals. 589 |
| Fire Jiao Island | The southern half belongs to Zhao Kingdom; its Fire Spirit Pearls are divided under a four-four-two arrangement with the other parties. 561 |
| Blackfish Island | Incorporated into Zhao Kingdom territory after Yang Ling's campaign against its Rong Tribe garrison. 775 |
Fire Jiao Island Waters Agreement
- The southern half of Fire Jiao Island was assigned to Zhao Kingdom, while the north went to the Rong Tribe. 561
- Major fishing villages and Fire Jiao Island remain open to martial artists from both Zhao Kingdom and the Rong Tribe. 561
- Seafood and treasures from the waters may only be sold to Zhao Kingdom or the Rong Tribe, not exported elsewhere, including to the Great Dream Dynasty. 561
- Zhao Kingdom plans to resettle refugees in the island waters through the Star-Sea Fishing Alliance's fishing villages. 561
- Blood Essence Ore discovered within Zhao Kingdom's portion of the island is claimed as Zhao Kingdom property. 591
Government & Institutions
Imperial Court
Zhao Kingdom is ruled by the Zhao Royal Family, with an emperor, crown prince, imperial princes, princesses, and royal nobles. Prominent princes include Zhao Zheng, the Fourth Prince and Rong-Pacifying King; Zhao Fu, the Third Prince; Zhao Yuan, the Fifth Prince; and Zhao Qi, the Sixth Prince. 426 546 773
The royal family is subject to ancestral restrictions: no member of the Zhao Royal Family may become a Fifth-Grade official. 367
Civil officials are not merely administrators. Many cultivate martial arts, command soldiers, and can possess combat strength comparable to dedicated martial artists. 241
Iron Garment Division
The Iron Garment Division serves as a major Zhao Kingdom enforcement and investigative body, with branches including the Public Security Division, Bandit Suppression Division, and Command Division. 406 549
- It investigates threats ranging from Rong Tribe spies to Immortal Gods Sect conspiracies. 165 420
- Its officers hold formal ranks and can be recognized as official martial experts of Zhao Kingdom. 407
- The division operates alongside the imperial court but can come into conflict with princes, princesses, eunuchs, and civil officials over jurisdiction and merit. 336 420 774
Ministry of War
The Ministry of War oversees military campaigns and possesses rare equipment such as the Ministry of War-issued Heavenly Wolf Battle Armor. 486 487
- The armor is issued only in limited quantities and is normally reserved for meritorious combatants. 486
- It requires Lower Fifth-Grade cultivation and 13,000 Vital Blood to wear, while its set effect doubles endurance. 487
- The kingdom fields powerful senior officials such as Xie Jinjia, Left Vice Minister of War, who wields the Divine Weapon Frost Qilin Armor. 460 544
Martial World
Zhao Kingdom contains numerous second-rate and third-rate sects, but only four recognized first-rate sects:
| Direction | First-Rate Sect |
|---|---|
| East | Divine Sect |
| South | Arhat Temple |
| West | Nine Immortal Dao Palace |
| North | Extreme Flame Sword Palace |
Although the imperial court can contend with and even slightly suppress the four first-rate sects, these sects retain substantial autonomy and may not fully obey Zhao Kingdom's orders. 131
Divine Realm Region
Zhao Kingdom functions as a distinct player region within Divine Realm. Players from the Rong Tribe do not appear on Zhao Kingdom's Divine Realm level rankings, leading players to identify the two nations as separate server regions. 318
- Zhao Kingdom players maintain their own rankings, with Yang Ling ranking first in the Martial Technique Realm Rankings. 623
- Players from other regions regard Yang Ling as Zhao Kingdom's strongest player and recognize him as the first player in Divine Realm to surpass Level 100. 644
- Zhao Kingdom players have repeatedly faced the Immortal Gods Sect, whose leader is active in the Zhao Kingdom region. 648
