After Mirai Uzumaki defeated and humiliated her in combat class, Zhili began training late into the night, determined to beat him fairly rather than accept a pity victory. Her older sister Mikoto recognized both her pride and her tendency to push herself too hard 9. A month of additional training allowed Zhili to challenge Mirai again using shuriken, taijutsu, and the Clone Technique, though she became frustrated after sensing he was still holding back 12.
