Background & History

Ren Dong was a blonde Wolper assassin operating for the Venice Family in Wolseini. During a Lineage meeting, she became Su Rui's first host after his consciousness manifested in her mind as a simulator system. Though initially irritated by the unfamiliar voice, she quickly recognized the value of his intelligence gathering, mapping, and combat analysis. 1

Her first major operation with Su Rui involved Midal, the head of an opposing Lineage. Rather than murder him or follow Su Rui's more destructive suggestions, Ren Dong infiltrated Midal's estate and issued a calculated warning while he was alone with his pet birds. Mr. Venice praised her restraint and entrusted her with greater responsibility, including choosing assistants for her own force. 2 4

Ren Dong built influence within the Venice Family through measured interventions as well as violence. She forced the parents of local delinquents to compensate those harmed and reform their children, then uncovered a scheme to defame the Venice Family by rescuing the targeted writer and capturing the assassin sent to silence him.
