Background / History

Satoru Gojo attended Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Suguru Geto and Shoko Ieiri. During their student years, Gojo and Geto were both already Special Grade, but they nearly died fighting a true Heavenly Tyrant. Gojo later mastered Reversed Cursed Technique, while his friendship with Geto eventually collapsed after their ideological split. 22 35

A decade after their separation, Gojo remains wary of Geto but retains a personal attachment to him. Geto can approach him directly and even place an arm around his neck without immediate retaliation, despite their opposing positions. 35 38

After investigating residual damage from Lin Yi’s clash with Geto’s group, Gojo notices an area of destruction with no cursed-energy traces. This anomaly leads him to take interest in the unidentified fighter involved. 13
