Background

Tang Wulin is Tang San and Xiao Wu's son. After Ouyang Luyao's earlier interference changes the Douluo World's ending, his relationship with Tang San becomes strained: Tang Wulin consistently protects Huo Yuhao, whom Tang San resents for disrupting his intended history. Huo Yuhao had cared for Tang Wulin throughout his growth, and Tang Wulin regards him as an older brother and family. 1

Tang San brings Tang Wulin and Huo Yuhao through his earlier life to repair their father-son relationship. Tang Wulin initially treats the journey with curiosity, especially wanting to witness Tang San and Xiao Wu's first meeting, but he also openly criticizes Tang San's attachment to history and Shrek Academy's methods. 2 3

Tang Wulin is fiercely protective of Huo Yuhao. When Tang San attempts to attack Huo Yuhao, Tang Wulin places himself between them and threatens to cut contact with his father if he harms him. He remains emotionally affected when Huo Yuhao accepts Tang San's punishment without retaliating. 5

He is direct and independent, refusing to simply follow Tang San's plans and voicing his dislike of Shrek Academy's culture of bullying the weak. Despite this, he is willing to give Tang San and Shrek a chance to change rather than retaliating against them outright. 3 12
