Personality

Tang Wutong is outwardly cool, calm, and reserved. During her exchange studies at Spirit Pagoda Academy, she showed little interest in making friends and remained unruffled during introductions and discussions around her. 4

She is fiercely attached to her family, particularly Tang San and Tang Wulin. Her first response to Huo Yuhao's claims about Tang Wulin was disbelief that anyone could challenge her father, and she immediately attempted to contact Tang San through her Sea God's mark. 6 Despite her competitive nature, she accepts defeat with sportsmanship and recognizes her brother's reluctance to harm her. 15 16

Tang Wutong can also be notably ruthless toward those she considers deserving of punishment. After learning why Huo Yuhao sought revenge against the White Tiger Duke, she argued that the duke deserved far harsher punishment. 30

Tang Wutong arrives at Spirit Pagoda Academy as a Shrek Academy and Tang Sect exchange student. She attends Snow Empress's Soul Spirit class but declines to fuse with a Soul Spirit, treating the exchange chiefly as an opportunity to study the subject. 4 5

Her encounter with Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin reveals that Tang Wulin is her future younger brother. Tang San's projection confronts Huo Yuhao over the altered future, leaving Tang Wutong shaken by the revelations. 6

Continental Academy Tournament

As a Soul Ancestor, Tang Wutong serves on Shrek Academy's tournament team. She defeats Yu Mengdi with Light Butterfly God Slash after using Hexagram Formation to neutralize and drain her opponent's power. 9

In the final against Spirit Pagoda Academy, she targets Huo Yuhao but cannot overcome Tang Wulin's superior strength. Breaking her seal, she temporarily becomes a Titled Douluo and summons Tang San with Sea God's Descent. 15 She later defeats Xiao Xiao in the individual elimination round, but Tang Wulin voluntarily surrenders after exhausting her Soul Power because he refuses to hurt his sister. Tang Sect Revival and Sun Moon Tournament

Five years later, Tang Wutong joins Tang Ya, Bei Bei, and He Caitou as one of the Tang Sect's only four tournament competitors. Having cultivated to Soul Saint level, she becomes one of the sect's central combatants. 20

She defeats Xiao Hongchen through Light God's Possession, Butterfly Goddess Dance, and her martial soul avatar. 22 During later Tang Sect matches, her light-attribute attacks kill Mingyu Sect and Holy Spirit Sect opponents, including Tang Dai and Gu Yu. 23 25 She and Tang Ya then use their martial soul true bodies to defeat the final Holy Spirit Sect combatant, Yan Feng. 25

White Tiger Duke Revenge

Tang Wutong overhears Huo Yuhao and Tang Wulin planning their revenge against the White Tiger Duke. Once Huo Yuhao explains that the duke abandoned Huo Yun'er, she supports his desire for retribution rather than condemning him as ruthless. 30

After the revenge is completed, she returns to the Douluo God Realm with Huo Yuhao, Tang Wulin, Snow Empress, Gu Yuena, and Huo Yun'er. 31
