You Recognize Me as Your Dad, and I'll Recognize You as My Fine Son

Zhu Yu did not stay at Li Corporation for long before returning to the company building.

The moment Zhu Yu got out of the car, he spotted two familiar figures.

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief, hid beside the bushes, and took a closer look. Wasn't that Mu Yuqing and Li Yichen?

Hadn't they already fallen out? Why were they tangled up again?

Li Yichen, don't make me look down on you. If you still compromise after something like this, you're seriously a top-tier lovesick fool. Not even ten elephants could drag you back.

Zhu Yu quietly moved closer, wanting to hear what the two of them were talking about.

"Tell me, what exactly did you come to see me for? I already made myself very clear last time. No matter what, I, Li Yichen, am still a young master of the Li Household. Don't force me to lay hands on you." Li Yichen folded his arms and looked at Mu Yuqing sideways.

"Yichen, I know you won't forgive me, but I still want to ask for your forgiveness. I really did admire your brother." Mu Yuqing's face was covered in tears.

"But I absolutely never meant to hurt you. Believe me."

"Mu Yuqing, what kind of mindset do you have to say something like that? You got so much from me, then turned around and fell for my brother. Now you're saying you never wanted to hurt me. So tell me, what did I get? Did I get you? Or did I get immense wealth?"

Li Yichen had sobered up quite a bit recently. Though he was not completely clearheaded yet, he was obviously more rational than before.

"You have nothing left. You lost both the girl and the money, and your own eldest brother even kicked you out of the Household. Miserable, truly miserable. When I retire someday, I'm definitely writing a novel about how a young master from a wealthy family got lovesick and was driven out of the Lineage." Zhu Yu could not help sighing after hearing Li Yichen's words.

The two brothers each had their own kind of misery, their own kind of bad luck.

As he spoke, Zhu Yu failed to realize that his voice was rather loud.

Hearing that familiar voice, Li Yichen's mind went blank. Why did this guy always see him at his most pathetic moments?

"Assistant Zhu?" Mu Yuqing's expression stiffened as well. Why was this man around every time she wanted to make a move? Was he her nemesis or something?

"Miss Mu, Young Master Li, what a coincidence. To think we could run into each other in the parking lot." Realizing he had been exposed, Zhu Yu awkwardly raised a hand and waved at them.

"Can we not have so many coincidences in the future?" Li Yichen asked expressionlessly.

"That's not for the two of us to decide. The one up there decides that. It's all fate." Zhu Yu spread his hands.

"How about I leave?" Zhu Yu pointed toward the company entrance.

"I'll go with you." Li Yichen's face was dark. He did not want anything to do with the woman in front of him.

Mu Yuqing had finally managed to see Li Yichen, so how could she let the meat in her mouth fly away? She immediately wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Yichen, believe me one more time. I've been thinking these past few days too, and I realized that I love you as well." It was not as though Mu Yuqing had not tried approaching Li Yiyan these past few days, but before she could even reach him, bodyguards would stop her. She could not get anywhere near him.

Li Yichen suddenly stopped where he was and said nothing. After all, she was the woman he had once loved deeply, and his heart softened slightly.

"Didn't you love my brother?" Li Yichen turned around.

When Mu Yuqing sensed the person before her stop, a flicker of secret delight passed through her heart. Sure enough, he still liked her. Hadn't he stopped for her?

Zhu Yu had nearly reached the entrance. Hearing the nauseating words behind him, he almost threw up. But just as he arrived at the company doors, he turned around and discovered that idiot Li Yichen had gone back again.

Anger surged through Zhu Yu, and he walked back as well. He wanted to see exactly how this kid was going to get fooled into circles again.

A good horse never eats old grass. Though this kid did not look much like a good horse, he should at least have some backbone.

"Stop crying." Li Yichen took out a tissue from his pocket.

"Of course..."

"Of course my ass! Li Yichen, are you really stupid or just brain-dead? You'd believe a ghost if it talked? She loves you? What does she love about you? If she could catch your older brother, do you think your status would even get a chance to rise?"

"Put simply, she couldn't catch the real deal—your older brother—so she finally decided that, all things considered, you as the backup weren't completely unacceptable."

"And now you, the backup, are acting all grateful. How much more pathetic are you going to be? Do you have to let her stomp you under her feet before you feel good, huh?"

"How starved for affection are you, big brother? If it really comes down to it, recognize me as your dad, and I'll recognize you as my fine son. I'll give you fatherly love every day from now on, okay?"

Hearing their conversation, Zhu Yu exploded with rage and launched into a furious tirade. Li Yichen was truly going to anger him to death. How could someone be this stupid?

One brother was stupid in an endearing way; the other was so stupid that it made people want to slap him a few times.
