Background / History

Shen Jingyan is Shen Jingmo's younger brother. On a day off, he visits Shen Corporation to see Shen Jingmo and encounters Su Duoduo as she drops a stack of files; he catches her by the waist, beginning their awkward workplace connection 2.

His early behavior at the company is disruptive and entitled. He demands that Zhu Yu find Su Duoduo's personal information within three minutes, dismissing Zhu Yu as incapable when refused; Zhu Yu responds by putting him in a chokehold, after which Shen Jingmo removes him from the office 7.

Shen Jingyan later begins an internship at Shen Corporation alongside Li Yichen. Under Zhu Yu's management, the pair are assigned document-translation work, required to finish on time, and denied special treatment despite their family backgrounds 11 13.

Personality

Initially, Shen Jingyan is arrogant, impulsive, and accustomed to relying on his family status. He calls Su Duoduo “interesting,” expects Zhu Yu to handle personal requests for him, and assumes that Shen Jingmo will shield him from consequences because the company belongs to their family 2 7 16.

He is also highly emotional and overprotective toward Su Duoduo. He reacts dramatically to her minor injuries and rushes alone into an alley to rescue her when she is threatened, without assessing the danger or bringing backup 26 48.
