Background

The Earth Book was nurtured beside the cocoon formed by Li Zhengyuan's true spirit and Earth Suluo True Primordial Qi. The Earthly Dao concealed the cocoon within a blessed Cave-Heaven, where the Ginseng Fruit Tree also took root; Zhen Yuanzi was eventually born with both the Earth Book and the Earth Embryonic Membrane among his innate endowments. 2 25

As Zhen Yuanzi's accompanying treasure, the book is closely tied to his mastery of the Earthly Dao. By the time he resumed his southern journey, it was the only one of his principal treasures to be fully refined and linked to his fate. 19

The Earth Book is attuned to the Primordial World's earth veins, terrain, mountains, and rivers.

The book can manifest runes and restrictions as formations for sealing, refinement, and combat.

• Generated a vast net of Dharma that trapped the escaping Lost Soul Bell. 9

The Earth Book is principally a defensive treasure, but its restrictions also make it an effective tool of restraint.

The Earth Book can store Heavenly Dao Merit for later use.
