Calaba, the Pearl Clan's warden, liked wandering around Solaceon Ruins.
So Irida had brought Xia Yan here to find Calaba.
While Irida pulled Calaba aside to talk, Xia Yan took a brief stroll around the present-day Solaceon Ruins.
He had originally wanted to see if he could find any Unown.
They might not have had much combat power, but their various special abilities were endless.
Xia Yan even felt that if he could gather every Unown, he might be able to return to the future even without Arceus's help.

Calaba was a ninety-nine-year-old elder carrying a bamboo basket on her back. Huge leaves extended from the basket, sheltering her head.
Her aged, clouded eyes looked Xia Yan up and down. Whatever Irida had told her, she did not waste any words.
She took a small leaf from her basket, placed it to her lips, and gently blew on it.
