The book was released on August 4 last year. By April 27 this year, 266 days had passed, with a total of 2.912 million words.
And that wasn't counting the two months during the new-book period when updates were relatively sparse.
It had actually only been seven months since it went premium.
Damn.
I suddenly felt like I was amazing.
Ahem.
Well.
I've already updated 330,000 words this month.
Today is the 27th, with three days left.
I think this amount of updating has already been very sincere.
But I think I can still push a little harder.
Who still remembers that when the book first went premium, I said I'd guarantee at least 6,000 words a day?
Back to the point.
The fifth volume has finally ended.
It should be the longest volume I've written so far.
A guaranteed daily 10,000 words—no, every day started at over 10,000, with the occasional 12,000, or even a sudden 20,000-word burst.
Pretending to be an eagle after puffing up my face.
No missed updates, no leave requests. (Even if I took leave, I still guaranteed at least 4,000 words.)
Honestly, it was exhausting.
But it was satisfying.
For a very practical reason: the more I updated, the more votes I naturally received.
Today was actually quite a coincidence.
Not only did this volume end, but it was also the day this book earned One-Star Honor.
As a newbie author.
Being able to earn One-Star Honor.
Was indeed something very meaningful to me.
And something that gave me a real sense of accomplishment.
Over these seven months since going premium, it had all accumulated bit by bit.
