Reaping the gods: no god may retain a physical body

Atop Mount Olympus.

The twelve chief gods gazed down upon the earth. Just then, Zeus's expression changed.

"He's here!"

Rumble!

Thunder shook heaven and earth. In a single instant,

a figure stepped into their midst.

"Demon God, you are the heavens, Chaos, the beginning!

You gave birth to my grandfather, and my grandfather became a Titan.

The mightiest Titan fathered us!

We have continually diminished our own authority! Our bloodlines!

Yet our power has only grown stronger! Why?

Because this is the age of all gods, and I am the king of them all!"

Zeus roared, lightning coursing through his long hair as he looked down at Ye Zhuo with defiant arrogance.

"I came to tell you that no god may retain a physical body unless you forgo the faith of humanity!"

Ye Zhuo looked at them as attack after attack came hurtling toward him.

He answered with a punch.

A massive hole opened in Zeus's abdomen.

The other gods had not even a scrap of their bodies left.

"Hera, you are the incense devotee I have chosen. Come!"

At Ye Zhuo's cold command, Hera, the sole survivor, hurried after him.

"From this day forward, the gods of Olympus may no longer possess flesh and blood."

Leaving those words behind, Ye Zhuo transformed into a rainbow and departed.

Who knew where they had found the courage to make an enemy of the Demon God?

He crossed the earth.

Upon reaching the sea, he took a single step, and the waters instantly parted to form a stairway.

By the riverbank, atop the Pyramid.

Ra gazed down upon the earth.

"The Demon God is angry. The true maker of this world is angry!"

The gods of the Pyramid were rather unusual. They could not let anyone learn their true names.
