Sakura begins her first day at Advanced Nurturing High School riding with the incoming Class D students. She keeps to herself in the bus’s front-right seats, hugging her single-lens reflex camera as though it is a shield. When a bump tangles its strap around an armrest, the attention of nearby students leaves her overwhelmed; Orikasa Yuu frees the strap and steadies the camera in four seconds. Sakura quietly thanks him afterward. 1

At the opening ceremony, she remains hidden within Class D’s crowd, clutching her camera and avoiding eye contact. She continues this withdrawn behavior in class, where she carefully stores both her camera and the 100,000-point phone she receives. 2 3

Orikasa later warns her that students can purchase spare keys to others’ dorm rooms for 200 points without the occupant’s consent. The information visibly frightens Sakura, but she learns that Orikasa had told her as a preventative measure. 5
