Background

Tang San was a God King and the Sea God in the God Realm. At Poseidon Estate, he presented himself as a gentle husband to Xiao Wu and a caring elder to Huo Yuhao, calling the latter his son-in-law. When Huo Yuhao sealed the God Realm Nexus, Tang San attempted to break the barrier with the Sea God's Trident but failed. Huo Yuhao then used the Eye of Eternity to expose Tang San's act of tearing young Tang Wutong's divine consciousness into three parts in order to control Huo Yuhao. Tang San publicly denied the accusation before responding with open fury. 1

After Huo Yuhao destroyed the God Realm Nexus, Tang San was cast into the turbulence of time and space. He later claimed to have destroyed the Shura Blood Sword and Sea God's Trident to preserve a fragment of his divine consciousness. After ten thousand years of drifting, he reincarnated seven years before the main timeline by taking over the six-year-old Tang San's body. He regarded both the original body’s consciousness and another Tang Sect Tang San as obstacles, claiming to have refined them. 13

Retaining his memories, Tang San set out to recreate the path of his former life. He became Yu Xiaogang's disciple not for instruction, which he believed he no longer needed, but to secure access to Shrek Academy and reunite with Xiao Wu and the future Shrek Seven Devils. He knowingly concealed Xiao Wu's identity as a transformed hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Rabbit while cultivating beside her. 13

By the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament, Tang San had reached level forty-seven and led Shrek's team. His first encounter with Huo Yuhao occurred under the arena identity “Thousand-Handed Asura,” where Huo Yuhao defeated him without being struck. Tang San then recognized Huo Yuhao in the tournament stands and became consumed by the chance to kill him ten thousand years ahead of schedule. 18 19

Tang San helped Shrek reach the final against Spirit Hall, but Huo Yuhao anticipated his hidden attacks and defeated him after he detonated his Soul Ring. Tang Hao subsequently intervened to extract Tang San and Xiao Wu from Spirit Hall. 24 25

Appearance

In his reborn life, Tang San initially inhabits the body of a fair-skinned six-year-old child with small hands. By the tournament, he appears to be a handsome, refined boy of fourteen or fifteen, with black hair and blue clothing. 13 19

Personality

Tang San is calculating, image-conscious, and deeply possessive. He carefully performs the role of an obedient son, grateful student, gifted child, and loving partner whenever doing so advances his plans. He accepted Yu Xiaogang as his teacher chiefly to regain access to Shrek and the opportunities of his earlier life, despite believing his God King knowledge surpassed Yu Xiaogang’s teachings. 13

His attachment to Xiao Wu is sincere: he longs for her throughout his time in temporal exile, recognizes her true identity immediately after reincarnation, and shields her despite the injuries caused by Ring Detonation. 13 25 However, his devotion coexists with a ruthless belief that Huo Yuhao should have accepted being controlled and “trained” by him. 13

Tang San’s hatred of Huo Yuhao dominates his reborn life. Recognizing Huo Yuhao at the tournament drives him from rage into ecstatic certainty that he can now take revenge personally. His behavior alarms Xiao Wu, who begins to feel that the person before her is not the “Third Brother” she thought she knew. 19
