Earlier timeline

In the prologue’s Divine Realm timeline, Huo Yuhao states that Tang San placed a fragment of Tang Wutong’s divine consciousness inside Wang Qiu'er. He recounts that Qiu'er sacrificed herself for him, after which that fragment took her origin and returned it to Tang Wutong. 1

Fated encounter

As the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, Qiu'er is drawn to Huo Yuhao by a golden connection between her vertical eye and his Eye of Eternity. After he follows the thread into the Star Dou Great Forest, they spend a day together; Huo Yuhao cooks fish for her, and they exchange memories through forehead contact. 10

Qiu'er later arrives in Spirit City in human form. Although Huo Yuhao recognizes the same golden Destiny Line, Qian Daoliu initially doubts that the newcomer is the forest soul beast because she lacks a soul-beast aura and possesses the Golden Dragon martial soul. 15

Joining Spirit Hall

Her assessment identifies her as a twelve-year-old, 42nd-rank Soul Ancestor with the Golden Dragon martial soul. Bibi Dong and Golden Crocodile Douluo personally compete to recruit her, but Qian Daoliu guarantees her freedom to choose. Guided by an unseen rose-gold light, Qiu'er joins the Hall of Enshrined and becomes Golden Crocodile Douluo’s disciple. 14
