Background

Feral Beasts are among the hostile beings that humanity faces in the Interstellar Era, alongside alien races and Evil Gods. Known exotic beasts are understood to have invaded the Human Federation from Star Realm dimensions. A Boundary Gate serves as an entrance to a Star Realm; New Continent suppresses one such gate, from which Wolf Venom was captured. 5 22

Ordinary Feral Beasts have difficulty escaping the restraints between the Star Realm and the human world on their own. In the Old Continent, every Feral Beast is accounted for, assigned a purpose, and subjected to strict approval procedures before entry. 6 22

Wan Keshan brought the Star Realm Feral Beast Wolf Venom into a Martial Arts Class specifically to confront students with the reality that martial arts are tools for combat and killing, not merely physical conditioning. 7

Feral Beasts vary in form, though those encountered at Silver Glow Fighting Arena are described as grotesque, physically powerful creatures. 27

Story Role

Feral Beasts first serve as Wan Keshan's lesson in courage, forcing the Martial Arts Class to confront the violence martial arts are intended for. Wolf Venom's awakening terrifies most students, while Li Qingshan advances toward it and kills it. 6 7

Wolf Venom then becomes Li Qingshan's primary virtual training opponent after the Martial Arts Space unlocks. His repeated defeats against its projection drive the rapid development of Lost-Trace Steps and Wind Shadow Blade. 11 15 16 17

The illegal Beast Battle at Silver Glow Fighting Arena establishes Feral Beasts as the immediate threat within You Qingya's sacrifice. Their escape causes mass casualties, while their deaths provide Li Qingshan with several years of Martial Arts Space time. 27 28 29 33
