Madam Peng is a descendant of the Xunshan Peng Clan, a family renowned for its mechanism arts. She married a butcher and gave birth to a notably robust son, but nine years before Lu Li's arrival in White Crow Town, children under three—including her son—were abducted. The loss drove her to spend years searching for him, leading townspeople to regard her as a madwoman. 18

Her former husband ultimately sold their son to the Xue Household to secure his own survival, then became a Xue retainer known as the One-eyed Tiger. Madam Peng later learned that the Xue Household and the Myriad Life Sect had turned her gifted child into a tool. 23 28

Rather than remain helpless, she secretly rescued and sheltered more than twenty Dog Children—children transformed into half-human, half-dog victims of the Huang Household's operations. She used her knowledge of Rebirth Temple's hidden mechanisms and passages to move them out of danger. 23
