Background / History

The Human Race began with three thousand Primordial Humans personally created by Sage Nuwa. These first-generation humans possessed clean innate foundations, long lifespans, and faint magical power. By the tenth generation, however, humanity's main body had become Postnatal: its descendants were mortal, short-lived, and forced to seek survival through cultivation. This transformation marked a new stage in the evolution of heaven and earth and earned Heavenly Dao merit. 1

The Shore of the East Sea served as humanity's original holy land. Under Suiren's leadership, the race developed early villages and preserved itself under Nuwa's protection. Yuan Ming transformed its prospects by creating the Four-Step Breathing Method, the first systematic route by which Postnatal humans could return to an Innate condition. Its successful trial led Suiren, Ziyi, Youchao, and the elders to name Yuan Ming the Fourth Human Ancestor. 3

Rapid population growth eventually exhausted the East Sea homeland's available resources. The Elders' Council adopted a five-path migration plan: five Primordial Human leaders would each guide one million Postnatal humans into new territory. Yuan Ming led the dangerous western migration, overcoming miasma, baleful qi, and ferocious beasts before establishing a settlement in the fertile Central Plains. 7 8

In the Central Plains, the migrants built cities, began agriculture, refined tools and clothing, and established the Dao Scripture as a cultivation inheritance exclusive to human bloodline and souls. The race expanded from one city to nine over the next three thousand years; tens of thousands of Postnatal humans returned to the Innate Realm, while several Primordial Humans became True Immortals. 8 11

The Central Plains were later devastated when Witch Race and Demon Race forces fought across human territory. The Human Race lost sixty million people, with cities, fields, and settlements destroyed in the collateral damage. Yuan Ming raised the blood-red Human Race Monument in remembrance, declaring humanity's resolve to stand tall between Heaven and Earth. 21 23

After witnessing the race's endurance and Yuan Ming's cultivation methods, Laozi established the Human Teaching and bestowed the Golden Core Great Dao upon every human through their inherited bloodline memory. 24

Appearance

The Human Race includes both early Innate Primordial Humans and later Postnatal descendants. Primordial Humans possess stronger bodies, long lifespans, and innate magical power, while Postnatal humans are born physically frail and initially lack innate spiritual light. 1
