Geography and Landmarks

Golden Turtle Island is an immense East Sea immortal island, shrouded in immortal qi and protected by large-scale formations. Its numerous disciple residences, cultivation sites, and coastal approaches make it both Jiejiao’s home and a strategic stronghold. 11 40 41

• Biyou Palace — The island’s central palace and Master Tongtian’s seat; sect lectures and major receptions are held here. 2 9 45

Defenses

Golden Turtle Island is shielded by an island-protecting grand formation that can activate independently against overwhelming threats. Under Primordial Heavenly Venerable’s attention, however, its radiance flickered and strained beneath the pressure of a Saint’s will. 41

• Xuan Chuan’s personal cave-dwelling is hidden by restrictions and saturated with the Dao rhythm of The One That Escaped, making its precise location difficult for ordinary disciples to detect. 24
• The island’s patrol patterns, restrictions, and outer seas are used as part of internal security operations against infiltrators. 11 33
• Xuan Chuan, Zhao Gongming, and Yunxiao used the island’s western sea routes to lay the Three Talents Return to Origin Void-Locking Formation, capturing Qiu Shou Immortal after his theft of a false formation diagram. 33 34
• The simplified Myriad Immortals Joint Defense Formation was developed and drilled by loyal disciples as a sect-protecting force. 31 43 44

History

Sect Rectification

After emerging from prolonged seclusion, Xuan Chuan made Golden Turtle Island the center of his campaign to reform Jiejiao. At Myriad Immortals Plaza, he inscribed decrees prohibiting disciple-on-disciple killing, indiscriminate slaughter, oppression of weaker cultivators, and concealment of magical treasures, divine abilities, or major karmic ties. The rules also required disciples to perform good deeds and accumulate virtue. 5

The reforms sparked fierce opposition among Inner and Outer Sect disciples accustomed to Jiejiao’s lack of restraint. Qiu Shou Immortal and Lingya Immortal led disciples to surround Xuan Chuan’s cave-dwelling, but Xuan Chuan activated the Lesser Heaven Cloudmist Sword Formation to subdue the attackers. 5 6

Purge of Traitors

Golden Turtle Island became the site of successive investigations into Western Teachings infiltration. Xuan Chuan discovered Long-Eared Dingguang Immortal exchanging intelligence with a Western Teachings monk at a remote reef-lined shore, then exposed him through a trap at Sinking Sword Abyss. 11 12

Long-Eared Dingguang Immortal was executed on the Immortal-Slaying Platform, with Master Tongtian’s tacit approval. The execution established Xuan Chuan’s authority and discouraged further open resistance. 15

Qiu Shou Immortal later attempted to steal a deliberately flawed Myriad Immortals Joint Defense Formation diagram and defect to the Western Teachings. After his capture, he was publicly tried on the Immortal-Slaying Platform; his cultivation and Dao foundation were destroyed, and his soul was sentenced to sustain the island-protecting formation. Lingya Immortal and two Inner Sect disciples were expelled after their own convictions. 33 35

Formation Development

With support from Zhao Gongming and the Three Xiao Sisters, Xuan Chuan turned Golden Turtle Island into a training ground for the simplified Myriad Immortals Joint Defense Formation. The formation links participants’ mana, divine consciousness, and portions of their fortune into a collective spiritual net. 31

Saintly Threats

Primordial Heavenly Venerable’s attention descended upon Golden Turtle Island after Xuan Chuan altered Shiji’s fate. The pressure nearly overwhelmed lower-ranked disciples and caused the island-protecting grand formation to strain until Master Tongtian intervened. 40 41

Following the events at Chentang Pass, a further strand of Primordial Heavenly Venerable’s killing intent targeted Xuan Chuan’s seclusion site. Though aimed at one disciple, the Saintly intent affected the entirety of Golden Turtle Island. 51 52

Residents and Affiliated Figures

• Master Tongtian — Founder and leader of Jiejiao; resides at Biyou Palace and protects the island against Saint-level pressure. 2 41

• East Sea Dragon Palace — Formally offered gratitude and friendship after Jiejiao’s disciples pacified demonic beasts threatening a Human Race tribe on the Eastern Sea Coast. Dragon King Ao Guang later ordered the East Sea to deepen ties with Golden Turtle Island. 45 51
• Four Seas Dragon Clan — Presented the Vast Sea Spirit Pearl, Dragonblood Fire Coral, and Four Seas Transit Token as symbols of goodwill. 45
• Western Teachings — Repeatedly infiltrated the island by recruiting Long-Eared Dingguang Immortal and Qiu Shou Immortal to betray Jiejiao. 11 32 35
