But even a warrior as strong as Jinbe found himself struggling against these Monsters enhanced by Void Energy. Not only were the Void Sea Beasts numerous, but their regenerative abilities were exceptionally powerful. Even after suffering grievous wounds, they recovered quickly.
"Your Majesty! Jinbe!" Ace shouted, raising the Starfire Shield as he charged toward the battlefield.
The shield's golden radiance instantly illuminated the entire undersea battlefield. Bathed in its light, the Void Sea Beasts recoiled one after another, letting out agonized roars.
King Neptune saw Ace arrive, and a flicker of hope flashed in his eyes. "Ace! You've finally come!"
Jinbe turned around in delight as well. "This is... the power of the stars? Great, we're saved!"
Ace swiftly swam to their side. The Starfire Shield's purifying energy brought warmth and strength to the exhausted Fish-Man warriors. Those who had drained themselves through prolonged battle felt their strength returning, and their morale rose once more.
"How's the situation?" Ace asked succinctly.
King Neptune pointed toward the passage behind him. "That is the only entrance leading to the Undersea Temple. The Abyss Stone lies in the deepest part of the temple. But the Void Sea Beasts have surrounded this place for three days and nights, and our forces are dwindling..."
Jinbe wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "These Monsters are too difficult to deal with. Ordinary attacks are almost useless against them. And their numbers seem to be constantly increasing, as though they're pouring out endlessly from somewhere in the deep sea."
Ace surveyed the battlefield and quickly formulated a plan. "We need to divide the work. The Aurora Tribe warriors will purify the surrounding Void Corruption and create a better fighting environment for everyone. Jinbe and the Fish-Man warriors will hold back the Void Sea Beasts' attacks.
