Background / History

Bai Ze died during the war between the Gods and Devils after the Demon God self-destructed when Yazi attempted to capture him alive. He was subsequently reborn in the mortal world as Su Minghui's newborn son, retaining his divine awareness and innate knowledge. 1

Immediately after his birth, hospital staff attempted to pass him off as a girl and remove him from Su Minghui's care as part of a baby-swapping scheme. Su Leyun's frantic inner thoughts alerted his mother, who verified his sex herself and forced the staff to acknowledge that she had given birth to a boy. 1

Su Minghui later named him Su Leyun, with the affectionate nickname Lele. As Zhou Guomin had married into the Su Family, Leyun took his mother's surname. 4

During his infancy, Su Leyun's retained perception repeatedly exposed threats around the Su Household, including Zhou Guomin's deception, hostile servants, and his intention to have Leyun abducted. Despite inhabiting a baby's body, Su Leyun retains the pride, knowledge, and temperament of the divine beast Bai Ze. He frequently refers to himself as the noble and unrivaled “Lord Bai Ze,” and is easily offended by treatment he considers disrespectful. 19
