The fist shot toward Qin Ran, only to freeze in midair before it touched him.

The gaunt man's sneer froze on his face. His breath caught, and he staggered backward as though he had seen something too terrifying to bear, his face pale as he gasped for air.

He wasn't the only one. Mr. Big's men around him reacted the same way.

When Qin Ran's gaze swept over them, they found that his eyes were fiercer than any tiger's or leopard's. His stare seemed almost solid, piercing their hearts like a sword.

Pfft! Pfft!

Several men spat blood and collapsed.

The rest, though they had not coughed up blood, stared at Qin Ran with pale faces and frightened eyes.

They had no idea what had happened.

How had Qin Ran hurt them with a single look?

Faced with an unknown terror, some of Mr. Big's men instinctively reached for their guns, hoping their weapons would let them overcome it.

But their arms and legs had gone weak. They could barely manage the movement.

The attempt even sent some who had still been standing tumbling to the ground.

Looking at the men sprawled before him, Qin Ran lightly rubbed the Half-Dead Man's Gaze on his right index finger and marveled at the rare item's power.

Unless he encountered someone born with exceptional mental strength, it was all but unstoppable.

More importantly, it could strike a group!

The Half-Dead Man's Gaze's Dead Gaze had no limit on the number of targets. Any creature that met Qin Ran's eyes during the second it was active had to pass a Mental Attribute check against a threshold no lower than one rank below the wearer's. Anyone who failed was subjected to Intimidation and then assailed by Fear Illusion.
