Only after he was sure the person had moved away from the door did Qin Ran carefully push it open.
The house had only one floor, but it covered a sizeable area. Seven or eight rooms stood along a corridor that was neither narrow nor wide.
Fortunately, from where he stood in the entryway, Qin Ran could see straight to the end.
At the same time, a sharp stench of blood hit him.
It was as though he had walked into a slaughterhouse rather than an ordinary home.
The heavy smell came from the room at the end of the corridor.
