Qin Ran scrutinized his surroundings but found nothing.
These Killer Players had woven their scheme into a tightly interlocking chain, thanks in no small part to concealment techniques that went far beyond the scope of [Stealth].
Until the moment they struck, they would reveal neither their whereabouts nor their killing intent.
It was truly an astonishing technique.
But once their scheme had been discovered in advance, even the finest technique became useless.
The next moment, Qin Ran fixed his gaze on the Killer Player holding the bow.
More precisely, on the shadows beside him.
Strips of shadow formed where the light from the windows crossed the numerous iron chains.
Because the iron chains crisscrossed one another,
the shadows were disordered and chaotic as well.
They resembled a spiderweb.
And the bow-wielding Killer Player standing above them seemed to have become the spider.
The arrow, packed with tremendous force, was the spider's most venomous strand of silk, firmly trained on Qin Ran with lethal intent.
Was it the shadows?

Qin Ran shifted his gaze slightly, looking at the chains beneath the Killer Player's feet.
He certainly did not believe the chains that had abruptly appeared throughout the building were decorations.
They must have been there to support the Killer Player before him.

To support the hidden Killer Player!
Qin Ran took a deep breath and moved.
Just as the Killer Player had said, he had no more time to waste here. There might have been other ways to probe their defenses, but Qin Ran chose the most direct approach: he leaped straight at the Killer Player perched above.
Watching Qin Ran leap, the Killer Player let out a low chuckle and released the bowstring he had kept tightly drawn.
