Background / History

The spirit was born from the Blood Queen's Crown in an accident. Before becoming an Evil Spirit, it appears to have been a cold-blooded female assassin; however, it treats those fragmented memories as another person's life rather than its own identity. 1590 1844 1884

Qin Ran defeated the then-high-level Evil Spirit after breaking its illusion and repeatedly damaging its regenerating body. Rather than be destroyed, it begged for mercy and offered a contract. Qin Ran accepted because its illusion ability was more valuable to him than uncertain equipment drops. 307 308

As Qin Ran's follower, Bloody Mary was repeatedly assigned hazardous reconnaissance, assassination, bait, and infiltration missions. It resented being treated as expendable, but its contract—and its awareness of Qin Ran's lethality—kept it obedient. 1313 1504 1684
