Meanwhile.

In another universe, night had fallen.

After a friendly reunion with Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, and more than ten minutes of faster-than-light travel, Tony, Nebula, and the battered spaceship they were aboard finally returned to Earth, carried at full speed by Carol in her Binary Form.

On the grounds of New Avengers Base, having detected Tony's signal, the Avengers Alliance's few remaining members—Captain America, Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Natasha, Hulk, Banner, War Machine, Rhodes, and Tony's beloved Pepper Potts—

all emerged from the base in casual clothes ahead of time. They looked up in disbelief at the battered spaceship slowly descending overhead, held aloft by a figure glowing with golden light.

The five wore different expressions, but all held the same concern. Pepper Potts was the most anxious of them all. She walked at the front, moving forward step by step, trying to get as close as possible to the spaceship as it approached the ground.

Only when it was a hundred meters from the ground did the five people below clearly see that the one carrying the spaceship was a woman.

The closer Carol got to the ground, the more the light around her faded. By the time her feet touched down, the glow had vanished completely. She exited her Binary Form and revealed her true appearance.

After effortlessly setting the spaceship on the ground, Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, dressed in her battle suit, placed one hand on her hip and gave Steve and the others a confident smile.

"Are you Avengers too? Why didn't Nick Fury, that foul-mouthed black egghead, come out to welcome me? He was the one who called for my help..."
