Within moments, the wound in Nick Fury's palm had healed completely, leaving no trace of the injury he had just suffered.
What was more, the hard industrial-style mechanical arm transformed into a household robot vacuum, meticulously cleaning up every drop of blood on the floor. It packed up all the trash and debris and tossed them into the meeting room's trash can before turning back into a mass of seemingly living "black mist." It flew back up to the ceiling, flowed in reverse through the fire-suppression spray nozzle, and concealed itself again, awaiting its next order.
Nick Fury stared at everything in stunned silence, not daring to make any unnecessary movements for fear of doing something as stupid as mutilating himself again.
Only after a long while did he blankly look at Howard and ask, "Motherfucker, what the hell was that thing just now?!"
"Tony calls it nanotechnology. It truly is an extraordinary technology," Howard said smugly, the corners of his mouth lifting.
Although there had been a slight accident, he was very satisfied with Nick Fury's current reaction.
"Nanotechnology?! Tony's technology has already advanced to this extent?! How did I not know anything about it?!"
It was not as though Nick Fury did not know Tony had been researching nanotechnology.
However, because Thanos and all the other crises in this universe had been crushed so thoroughly by Leon, Tony's Nano Armor had barely gotten any chance to shine.
Its greatest showing had been on Asgard, far from Earth, where neither Nick Fury nor S.H.I.E.L.D. could reach.
After Steve Rogers, Natasha, and the others returned to Earth, they had not explained much to Nick Fury either. After all, they did not understand Tony's technology.
Thus, Nick Fury had assumed that Tony had merely combined nanotechnology with his Iron Man armor.
