Undersea High-Speed Run

Meanwhile, Tony had already blasted off in the red flying sports car, carrying a dazed Maya Hansen more than twenty kilometers away.

Just as Maya Hansen finally adapted to the terrifying speed and was about to speak, she realized that the sports-car-shaped ground-effect aircraft seemed to be dropping...

"T-Tony, aren't we falling?!" Maya Hansen asked in utter terror.

"Relax, darling. Everything's calculated. That's the price of speed~" Tony turned to Maya Hansen and gave her a calm, composed smile.

Yet paired with the way they were currently plunging downward at high speed, that smile somehow looked bizarrely comical and terrifying.

Maya Hansen pressed, "What are you planning to do next? We're about to crash to our deaths!"

Watching the sea surface draw ever closer through the windshield, Maya Hansen nervously shut her eyes. Before Tony could explain, she felt a distinct yet not overly intense impact.

From her perspective, the front of the car suddenly plunged into the sea.

Until the flying car struck the ocean, Maya Hansen knew with absolute certainty that they had entered the water at supersonic speed.

Theoretically, hitting the water at that speed was no different from slamming into a concrete wall.

At the instant the flying car's body touched the water, time seemed to pause infinitely. Maya Hansen helplessly turned toward Tony beside her, but human instinctive fear made her uncontrollably keep her eyes shut in utter darkness.

"F-f-f-f-fuck!!!!!"

Maya Hansen screamed incoherently in terror, while Tony, seated in the driver's seat beside her, curled his lips into a wicked smile and watched her adorable, frightened-deer expression with great interest.

Only after she could no longer feel the faint but clearly unnatural G-forces caused by the extreme deceleration did Maya Hansen slowly open her eyes.
