History

Ditas created the Illusory World as the third stage of his Mental Power System. He based its original form on the Sloth Beast World, reproducing Spellcaster City, Giant Mountain, living creatures, and an apparently self-sustaining history. Despite its realism, Ditas judged it incomplete because it lacked a unified, complete set of rules and could not become real on its own 615 909.

Before dying, Ditas sealed the incomplete world and a strand of his Mental Power within the Illusion Pearl. The Pearl's illusion manifested as the Illusion Stele in Spellcaster City, waiting for a Mental Power User who had reached the second stage of illusion to uncover it 614 615. Merlin saw through the Illusion Stele's deception, obtained the Pearl, and later controlled it through a mental imprint 614 616.

The world initially remained dependent on the Illusion Pearl and was too vast for Merlin to use freely. Its activation exhausted him, while later attempts to create a Mental Avatar required separating one-third of its power into a second Pearl 616 680. As Merlin's Mental Power advanced, he could deploy portions of it against cities and powerful opponents 633 642.

Merlin eventually absorbed the Illusory World into his Mental Core. Rather than retain Ditas's Sloth Beast World model, he rebuilt it according to his memories of a universe of planets, stars, gravity, and cosmic space. He also created the Illusory Clan to develop a civilization capable of exploring that universe and contributing to the world's growth 888 889.

The Illusory Clan's first landing on Goda Star marked the world's first independent drive to expand. Merlin accelerated this process with a controlled explosion, creating new starfields and celestial bodies; later, the Illusory World continued expanding for centuries as its civilization rose and spread through the cosmos 909 925 962.

Its growth remained unstable until a destructive force entered it through Void Realm Rule Power. Merlin realized that destruction and rebirth were necessary for balance, allowing the Illusory World to become stable and reach completion 963. Its completed rules directly conflicted with those of the Void Realm, which began rejecting Merlin and treating the world as a threat 963 964.

After the Void Realm expelled Merlin into the Behemoth World, the Illusory World was heavily suppressed. Merlin restored it by absorbing Giant Beast Wills and then a trace of the Behemoth World's Origin Will. It recovered far more quickly after consuming World Will, eventually devouring the Behemoth World's will itself and expanding across the dying world 1105 1111 1116 1117.

Once released into the void beyond the Behemoth World, the Illusory World gained a will of its own and became a real Dimensional World. This completed Turning Illusion into Reality, resurrected Ditas within the world, and established Merlin as a Controller 1118.

Appearance

The Illusory World's appearance changes according to its stage and Merlin's design. Ditas's version resembled the Sloth Beast World, while Merlin's reconstruction became a planetary universe beneath a vast starry sky 614 615 888.
