"Everyone except Kaecilius, dismissed. You, come with me."

The mages left one after another, leaving only Kaecilius and Ian in the room. "Is there anything I can do for you?" Ian did not answer immediately. Instead, he studied him meaningfully for several seconds. "I believe that when a man suffers a tremendous loss yet cannot let go of it, that is when he is at his strongest."
