Battle of New York (1)

After arriving in Midgard, Loki first attacked a secret S.H.I.E.L.D. base to seize control of the Tesseract. Ian had already removed the Space Stone from the Tesseract, but he used spatial energy to preserve the item's integrity and let the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel continue studying it to see if they could figure out anything useful.

Unlike in the movie, he did not enslave Hawkeye's mind and merely beat him up badly. Shortly afterward, Nick Fury contacted Tony and Steve for help. They tracked Loki to somewhere in Berlin, where he was recruiting scientists to assist him.

Loki noticed their arrival and lured the group to a secluded area. "I've been waiting for you," he announced, then summoned two daggers.

"I don't know who you are, but you'd better give up resisting and surrender," Tony said. "This isn't the fifteenth century, and this isn't a duel. We have guns now."

"Oh, a big mouth," Loki remarked. "My least favorite type." He hurled the daggers with incredible speed and precision.

Steve knocked the weapons away with his shield, while Tony flew into the sky to evade them. Steve smoothly threw his shield, but to his surprise, Loki caught it with a smile and threw it back.

Steve had no time to react. The shield struck him in the abdomen and sent him flying several meters away.

Meanwhile, Tony seized the opportunity to fire a weapon capable of releasing a powerful electromagnetic pulse, attempting to immobilize his opponent. However, the weapon passed straight through Loki's body, as though he were an intangible illusion.

"Damn," the playboy, billionaire, and philanthropist remarked.

"Peekaboo. I believe that's what people call it, right?" Loki said from behind him. Before Tony could react, Loki pierced his leg and damaged his thruster, causing Iron Man to plummet from the sky.
